People Developer Standard (PDS)

PDS is a quality standard that gives recognition to an organization that invests in its people and develops its staff. TNPS was validated by SPRING Singapore as an organization that is committed to pursuing People Excellence and awarded the PDS in 2004. The validity period of the standard is 3 years.

School's Green Audit Award - Lotus Award
(2008)

The Schools’ Green Audit Awards are given by The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) to schools that participate in its "How Green is Your School" programme. This programme comes with a self-help manual, which assists schools in gauging its level of green-consciousness. The school has received the first level Palm Award in 2004, the second level Hibiscus Award in 2005, the third level Orchid Award in 2006 and the fourth level Lotus Award in 2007. The Awards are given in recognition of the school’s effort in keeping the environment green. The Lotus Award means that the school shows a high-level of environmental concern and has participated in nationwide environment related competitions and carries out community related environment projects. The validity period is 1 year.

The Development Award (DA) for Character Development
(2009 - 2011)

The school received this award in 2006. It is presented by MOE to schools that have put in place sound systems and processes for the development of character. The validity period of this award is 3 years.

CHERISH Award - GOLD Category
(2008 - 2009)

CHERISH is the acronym for Championing Efforts Resulting in Improved School Health. This HPB-MOE award is presented to the school in recognition of our comprehensive health promotion programmes for pupils, staff and the community. We received the CHERISH Gold award in 2006 and 2008. The validity period is 2 years.

Water Efficient Building Award
(2006 - 2007)

Tampines North Primary School has been recognized by PUB as a Water Efficient Building since 2006. As part of the school’s environment conservation efforts, we have applied the 3Rs (Review, Reduce & Repair) of water conservation in our management and use of water.
