	0845	1) Talk on Coping with First Year in Primary School by external speaker 2) Talk on Values-driven Education by HOD/ Student Development and HOD/Character and Citizenship Education	Find out tips on how to help your child adjust to the first year in primary school life. Find out how values can be inculcated through school programmes and the importance of character development.
	0930	3) PAL Visual Art / Performing Art demo lessons concurrent sessions	Have a go at 2 PAL demo lessons via hands-on sessions
	1030	4) Recess Encounter
	1045	Parents to take their leave.
	1100	Teachers to lead pupils back to class.
Day Three 5th Jan 2012 (Thurs)	0830	Pupils to report to form teachers at school canteen.	Parents to proceed to school hall.
	0845	1) Talk on Nutrition and Health by external speaker 2) Talk on Developing Dental Health by Dental Nurse	Pick up some tips on helping your child and family develop habits to lead a healthy lifestyle.
	0945	3) Jump Jam Workout for mass PE lesson 4) Visit to Dental Clinic 5) Sale of healthy snacks	Please come in appropriate attire.

Dear Parents,

We thank you for taking time to give us your feedback via the Online Feedback platform as well as emails with regards to the transition to single-session in 2012. We have looked into your feedback and understand that indeed, there are adjustments to be made and real concerns to be addressed in preparation for this transition.

We will assess the situation and need for further adjustments once the new school year commences. Should there be any changes with regards to this, we will keep parents updated via this space. We will do our best to meet your needs and your child's.

Dear Parents & Pupils of Tampines North Primary School,

Tampines North Primary Going Single Session in 2012

As part of PERI’s recommendations, MOE will move all primary schools to a single-session model progressively over the next few years so as to provide teachers with additional time and space to deliver a more holistic education as well as to allow pupils to benefit from a wider range of academic and non-academic activities. MOE targets to facilitate the transition of all government primary schools to single-session by 2016.

Tampines North Primary School is transiting to Single-Session in 2012.

In consultation with its staff, the school is proposing changes to its curriculum time in 2012. An overview of the key changes are reflected in the table shown below (Table 1). Sample timetables for P1 & P2 (Table 2), P3 & P4 (Table 3) and P5 & P6 (Table 4) are also appended below to give an idea of the proposed new curriculum & CCA timing.

This online platform is created to facilitate our communication with you. If you have any comments or feedback for our consideration on the proposed changes, you are most welcome to leave your comments or feedback using the Google Form from 30 Aug to 16 Sept 2011. As partners in education, your inputs are valuable to us. Refinements and changes to our plans will be made with the best interest of our pupils in mind and to meet the school's overall operational needs.
